Relief India Trust and Children from Streets

Children are the most innocent of god’s creation and so it is very important that they are taken care of. We at Relief India Trust work at making things better for these children. This is very important that we do. The future of our country depends upon how we upbring our children. What kind of values we teach them so that they become a responsible citizen. It is our responsibility to take good care of children and let them enjoy their life to the fullest. But, there are children who are not getting even the basic necessities of life. This is where our volunteers at the Relief India Trust come on the scene, they work real hard to take care of such children.

I am sure that you have seen plenty of kids running around on the streets. These kids are begging on the streets, selling small things at traffic lights. So are you trying to figure out where these kids come from? This is the sad part; the kids are usually abducted from their homes or hospitals and taken away from their families. The kids don’t know anything about their previous lives, but what they are right now. This is a difficult task, but one that is very important. We at Relief India Trust believe that every one of these kids can be helped.

They just need to be getting back into shape and then put back on their feet. Though the task seems simple is not an easy one. The volunteers test the kids and get them back to health. After that they check on their current capabilities. Most of them are uneducated and so we would need to get them into the literacy program. After that, they are kept in the in-home facilities and the education continues. We have various volunteers who come and train these kids and help them understand their potential.

This is not all, the kids are trained in life skills. This is very important as just teaching them is not enough. We need to get them capable of finding work when they are ready to move out of our care. If this aspect is ignored, then the kids go back to the streets. All the work that we have done with them would just go a waste. This is why we at the Relief India Trust request our parttime volunteers to come from various fronts to help these kids. They trained these children skills that will help them in finding a job.

We do not believe that people have to be taken care of their whole life. The main motto should be to help them lead a better life. To help them be self reliant and not reliant on the help and support of others. When you get people on their feet you have won a war. A war that is in no way small. The challenge is to keep the peace; this is why the trainings become important. We believe these are the base that will help get the future better for manymore kids, who are in the same circumstances as they were when we found them. We believe in paying it forward.
