What is the Relief India Trust approach in using the social media?

Introduction:

You will rarely see any good level NGO who is doing a good job, but has no social media presence. A lot of things are going on in the social media and if the NGOs are neglecting the different aspect of social media, then they are surely missing a trick. The best advantage of using social media is that the medium is free to use and there are a number of things that they can avail by using such a platform. Things are not easier otherwise and the survival of the NGO would be at stake if they are overseeing the importance of using the social media or they are unaware of. The Relief India Trust uses it in the best of their interest and a number of advantages of the platform are exploited by them with little or no cost at all. The only investment they have to make is on their employees who are handling the social media campaign, but that is totally worth it. The NGO believes that their work would have been much harder if they didn’t have the facility of using the social media. It is for this reason that the Relief India Trust NGO has allocated dedicated staff to run their social media campaign. The results coming through social media are far better and convenient than it would be otherwise. The platform can also be used by the NGOs to reach out to their current and potential donors to generate some lucrative funds, no matter wherever in the world they are living.

Use it to listen:

The social media platform can be first used to listen out to all the things that are occurring in their society. A lot of people from different parts of the world and country share a lot of stuff regarding the miseries and issues of the people. The NGOs can use the information to devise out their strategy in order to implement in the society for their welfare and proper upbringing.

Use it for research:

The NGOs themselves can use the platform to research about different issues that exist in the society. They can easily do that now at the comfort of their cozy offices and doesn’t need to go out too often in the field to get data about the different issues that are part of the community. This is the approach of Relief India Trust and they are doing a great job in their social research work with the help of the brilliance of social media.

Influential tools:

There are many influential social media tools such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram etc, which can be used in a very innovative way by the NGOs to handle their different social welfare projects and get all the information and feedback which are relevant to their use. Facebook in this regard is the favorite most tool of different NGOs and its event management tool is serving NGOs a lot in promoting their different fundraising events.
